What To Put On Interest On A Resume

Diploidy, HIV and Evolution

HIV is the only human virus to be diploid. That means it has two single-stranded RNA strand. Other viruses may possess double-stranded DNA or RNA (two complementary strands), but never twice the "same" information.

The interest of a DNA / RNA double strand (not including HIV) is the protection of DNA / RNA enzymes through the cell: for example if something is fixed on a foundation, or if a base is chemically modified, an enzyme able to spot will replace the base altered using the complementary strand fused according to the correspondence A-> T G-> C.

For example, a base, cytosine, a double-stranded DNA (that of a herpes virus, for example) that drags in the nucleus will form an adduct with an aldehyde exogenous behind him aussi.Que happens there So what? The cell that has many enzymlatiques repair system will treat the DNA as his own, will cut the base damaged, and will resynthesize the missing part from the remaining strand.

HIV is single-stranded RNA and it is more, so no repair system of RNA in human cells. In addition, it synthesizes its own enzymes stroke of DNA from its RNA. This synthesis is very risky. The error rate is 1 in about 5000, whereas in the eukaryotic cell is the rate before correction of 1 / 100 000, then corrected by the systems of control 1 / 10 billion. HIV synthesizes its DNA to the really hard, like a war doctor who operates on the battlefield. The goal is to go fast.
This strategy is bold, and viruses using the same enzyme in DNA synthesis (reverse transcriptase) are rare, especially cytopathic viruses such as HIV. So

mutations are numerous and HIV evolves very quickly, very quickly. What is most compelling to escape the immune system, who needs to develop its response consistency. However, this mutability of the virus has a price. Most mutations are deleterious, ie they are inappropriate and ineffective make virions. And this is where the power of the diploid.

During evolution, the diploid was selected very rapidly (inovation eukaryotes), because on the one hand it allows a more rapid synthesis of RNA (if DNA is duplicated, we can synthesize RNA in two places are two times faster, or more if more copies (polyploidy)), and especially to my eyes because it potentiates-violently evolution. Let me explain: If the gene mutates and becomes non-functional, and there is only one copy, the organism dies. If there is a copy, the body does not die, and in addition the mutation is conserved, and can Remute "indefinitely" (if the lineage survives) to obtain a new functional gene. The advantage is twofold: not only protects you in the short term the individual, but in addition, it provides additional biological innovations inaccessible in haploid system. It's like a curve thermodynamics, or to minimize the energy of a system, we must overcome barriers to high energies. Diploidy allows to overcome these barriers.

short while it fascinates me, I will come back to this post because I have to go to work now!

Holidays on the North Shore: Part

the campsite, we first made the acquaintance of Sidney, a beautiful and calm golden retriever 2 years. He and Azur are well understood, and they even managed to play together (in a beautiful dance leashes, of course!). In addition, the Sidney went walking with his owners on the "beach" which was formed at the low tide. Towards the last days, we too wanted to take Azur here to get used to smells and sounds (waves, birds screaming, soil strange). Even if the base was a good idea, he soon returned covered with mud and slush. Indeed, this is not sand there, but rather a mixture that resembles clay. If I, I had beautiful feet after rinsing the clay, he No Azur has not seemed to appreciate the softness of his hair after his cold shower for cleaning up the mess of the "beach"! ;)

We subsequently made the acquaintance of Chiffon and (name I will surely return later), the first being a mix of Bernese and Newfoundland and second, a Bernese mountain dog. If the bitterling was the opposite of Kyra (she was super friendly, she was not afraid of anyone, always wanted to play with Azur), Rosie stood out on his side by his otherworldly calm. After the discovery of Newfoundland, my mother announced, "I want one!". Stay tuned! ;)

During a day at Tadoussac, we met a gentleman who had noticed the scarf Mira d'Azur and we had talked about the dog he had himself called Charlotte, who was a former Mira with dog been deselected after completing his training as a service dog because of too much fear. This is a day late (like a small world sometimes!) We have crossed the campsite Bergeronnes. He had moved very close to our field! We were therefore able to meet the little Charlotte. Physically, I must say it is very similar to our Kyra high enough but not too big, hairy yet smooth, long nose, beautiful marking, but more importantly, any small, in 76 books. What was most striking was his behavior: a copy of our Kyra us! She did not appreciate Azur at the beginning (she grumbled a bit later and retreated, just like Kyra did at first) but towards the end, she let herself feel. Also, it was a bit apprehensive and had some time to approach the difficulty men (Kyra also has this behavior).

Charlotte made us think about our furry, and we asked ourselves how it was with her at the boyfriend of my grandmother. She got along well with the son of Maurice and our grandmother? We finally heard from her: she was alright, she did what she had to do and she often looked out the window to see if there was not someone who venait la voir.

Er .. What these big beasts here? Will I be their friend?

mheu no! It is sometimes part of your meal, I'll know!

Holidays on the North Shore: first Kyra

Sunday morning, we left with our newest acquisition, a tent trailer, and go towards the Bergeronnes. In the trunk, a cooler and ... A dog Mira.

We decided to let the boyfriend of our Kyra grandmother during this holiday week, because last year, our beautiful hairy was pretty stressed by the journey. What do you want, we have a dog of luxury that can not live without a sofa without bedding Garnot ;)

Azur was then installed for the first time in his life in the trunk of the truck. From the beginning, he kept getting up and going back to bed, unsure of his new position. I think he was so used to be "skouizé" before the passenger's seat he did not know what to do with too much space. Nevertheless, he ended his bedtime (this who was the better, because 7 hour drive up, it exhausts!) and fell asleep, his head pressed against the cooler.

We made a detour to see Levis Andree-Anne, a person who has a dog Mira, Sirocco, a female St. Peter's 10 months. They are heard and we've even left free in a park without fencing. Needless to say after a few minutes of games, my father and my brother was already chasing Azur had escaped our control. It is never free (except in our fenced yard) so he probably wanted to enjoy it.

We then tried to take the ferry Lévis-Québec, thinking we would save time as well (big mistake: the ferry takes us downtown, where there was a lot of people because events and activities that were organized summers on the banks: we had to make a wide detour to avoid traffic). Azure has cons got a little scared on the ferry (the noise is intense enough).

For the rest of the trip, my mother finally took Azur with her before. While stuck, however, was in its usual place and within a few minutes, it was asleep.

The crossing with the second ferry (the one that allows us to go to Tadoussac) went well, it was not too scared and had even approached the screens where you could see swirling water because of the powerful engines of the boat.

Proceedings at the campsite, we discovered the place in Azur, which was still a bit tired of traveling. We played in a small pen (I do not know if it provided for this purpose, but it has been very helpful with our Ti-Loup this week). At night he slept in the tent trailer, warm on the cover.

Here are pictures of this first part! :)

Azur and Sirocco!

Go Azur, we must also take a short drive away!

The view we had while waiting for the ferry to Tadoussac

Go Azur, besoiiiiinnnnn! Should not you escape on the ferry anyway!

can see he was still a little uncertain with these new surfaces. Go Ti-wolf, you're able!

Our beautiful hairy Mira, near the water: he quickly improved! (We're in the veent, we're in the veent;)

ze I've been a pro Ferry Friends!

Peace! We finally went to the campsite:)

And he was already hiding under the table in the shade.

Maxine Cartoon About Newspaper

part two! Viste

Hey! Yes, our beautiful boubounette , doudounette girl hairy didi adored is now made in two years. So it's exactly 46 months we are together, sharing the daily: the marches, family visits, the time of the brush ... We experienced some great moments, and others where we can be a regret few have chosen the (hair, that unforgiving!) but we knew one thing: we liked this boubounette with all our hearts. So even if she barks all the time when she sees someone on the ground, even if she drools in industrial quantities on our beautiful pants while we eat, even if she is never happy when someone took " his "place on the couch, even if we totally ignored it when he sings, she will forever be our boubounette us, who is entitled to a special place in our hearts.

People who do not have dogs will probably find it difficult to understand that this very sense of attachment to these hairy. But it's more than just a pet. It is a constant presence, always happy to see us even if we have a terrible mine. It is a presence that is sometimes felt when it comes time to pick up gifts, but also just a hairy shoulder on which you know you can always rely, without it raises questions or that we judge. It's ... a furry friend, no less! ;)

Happy Birthday Kyra!
