Fair 502nd St. Jacques in 2001!

In 2001, a group of parishioners of Saint-Jacques, was challenged to deliver the Fair to honor ...

Seeing the enthusiasm gained the hamlet, a committee was formed to take the organization of the Fair in hand.

dint of discussions, meetings and incentive, the program of festivities has been developed. All
wanted the show runs in the spirit of yesteryear: new traditions, friendliness, sense of family and of course fun!

To start this festive day, it was decided that the opening would be reserved for the traditional Mass of the Saint-Jacques in which the patron is asked cons children's fears. Then the appetizer! An appetizer special Saint-Jacques, whose recipe, almost secret, was developed by Guy Godfrey, a resident of the hamlet. This appetizer, it was decided to offer it to all present.
The festivities continued on the village square, under the tent erected for the occasion around a good barbecue! For this "new July 25, the sun had invited without restraint ...

To animate this day, residents of Saint-Jacques have used" The Ardennes "Trois-Ponts: the brass was once again the party! Local artisans were invited to present their products and achievements. The local confraternities were also present (sisterhood of the Cloche d'Or Saint-Jacques, among others).

On 25 July there were nearly 2,000 people who wandered in one street of the village with only that forty people ... That day also, the Fair of Saint-Jacques, back to life ...
